Lepidofrance, Loved viewing your photo's of your Ecuador excursion. It's really nice to see someone take the time for live shots of Leps they see; as well as the area in which they are collecting. I have been on 3 tropical excursions in my life (Ecuador,Bolivia, and the Dominican Republic) and I always took time out for LIVE shots of things I saw. My trips were not all about going on a mission to pillage the rainforest of its butterflies. Someone with a true passion (love) of this hobby understands this approach.

Dear trehopr : thank you so much for your comments ! It is certain that I like to combine a butterfly to its environment. I always feel frustrated when I see a butterfly spread without knowing where (I mean what kind of environment and how) he flew. On one hand, I collect (a few copies per species or subspecies), on the other, and increasingly, I photograph. Too often, hesitating between the net and the camera, I do not get the butterfly nor his portrait: he flew! Anyway, it is easier to share a photo (on this forum, for example) than a butterfly captured, killed and spread !
