Hello Anyone can advise me a GPS watch brand ? I would like to buy one GPS watch to easily know the GPS position of the localities where I caught some butterflies during my collecting trips. BUT all the GPS watches I find on Ebay (see here) seem to be watches for runner and I don't know if they give clear GPS positions or if they only give you some data for runners (speed, number of kilometers runned...). Thanks a lot Olivier

Before getting the GPS, could be easy to find acurate locations (including elevation) using Google Earth or (french) Geoportail from IGN !

One of my friends is a pilot with the Red Arrows display flying team. Tag Heuer sponsor them and give all the pilots watches which have a GPS function in case they crash.

Email the manufacturer. This would be a good way to find out. I am planning to buy a Nikon camera for my trip to Panama. The one I want records the GPS location of photos and video. This way I can photograph an insect and it would save me a little time in the field. I think a quick video of the environment where captured might have a value as well.
