They are so beautiful !!!! And I can well remember that they were so rare in the past. It took more than 10 years before I finally got one. Nowadays they are much easier to get.

About this moth, there is a very readable article in the Entomologische Rundschau, Vol. 38, 1921, p. 2-3 (in German). The author watched this species in the years 1914 and 1917 in Daressalam. His article begins with the words: "Feurig funkelnd ! Hat sechs Schwänze ! Der schönste Falter der Erde ! ("Sparkling fiery ! Has six tails ! The most beautiful butterfly on earth !
