Dear colleagues and collectors, what do you think - what color should be a label with the collection data - the classic white, or color, as you can see in the photos of collections of some members of this forum?
All the best, Andrey

be careful ... color sometimes means type material (red and yellow ones). i know collections where lables are colored on the edges to indicate the continent
al mines except type material (red) are white

Thierry's absolutely right. Labels should always be white as coloured labels indicate type material.

Definitely the main part of the data label should be white, although colour coded edges to a white label would be acceptable.
Apart from the use of colour to designate a type specimen, which could cause confusion if colour is arbitrarily used in data labels, there may also be a problem of coloured backgrounds causing difficulties in reading the data printed on the labels.
I would always recommend black letters on a white background for the data label. I have no issue with using coloured backgrounds for determination labels or any other type of label apart from data labels.
Adam.
