In few days, I'll get a series of seven diferrently colored Syntherata janetta (6 males and 1 female). Wait until they are photographed.......how so many color forms could be the same species just blows my mind.

Nice bugs Bill! Watch it with the Syntherata though, I believe they have recently been split into about 3 species. Dave

Dave,
Thanks for the heads-up. These 7 are all from Polly Creek, NorthQueensland, AU. I'll put up pics and let the experts tell me. They do (as I see them now) seem to be variations of one species....janetta.

Hi Bill, NIcely spread images of beautiful moths. Thanks for sharing images and data. The image of the Antheraea larissa "ridlyi", listed (perhaps innacurately by seller) as being from Cambodia, would represent an expansion of the larissa complex into that country. The specimen might be nominate larissa, larissa ridlyi, or an unnamed larissa subspecies. I note the forewing apex seems less truncated than in other larissa or larissa ridlyi images, and the forewing outer margin seems more oblique than in other subspecies in that complex. I will add image, and comments on WLSS to both larissa and larissa ridlyi files and also to Cambodia page. There probably are a considerable number of additional Saturniidae species/subspecies that have not been officially documented for Cambodia. Thanks Bill Oehlke

Thanks Bill.
The seller did get these from a reliable source. I'll watch for any further comments on the ID.
