Can anyone give me details for the Autumn Prague insect fair? My wife and I fancy visiting Prague anyway and would like to time the visit so we can attend the bug show too.

This is the 1st WE of October. Very nice fair, particularly for Palearctic bugs lovers.

Dave
The Prague fairs are always the first weekends in March and October. The autumn one clashes with the AES show, which is why you don't see me there any more. It's a good show for palaearctic material, if not quite as big as Frankfurt.
Namesti Miru is easy to get to by metro or tram. It's well worth spending a few days there; Prague is a beautiful city.

Hello Radovan, my friend, you may be right, Prague is one of the biggest insect fairs in the world, the biggest is still in Frankfurt. But, did you ever visit our insect fair in Weiden/Bavaria? 200 km away from Prague ! It takes place the second weekend in September. It is the first insect fair after summer in mid of Europe. Last year we had about 70 private exhibitors with mainly Palearctic bugs. They came from Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Czeck, Slovakia, Hungaria, Belarus, Ukraina, Poland, Lithuania... and of course from all over Germany. Free entry and 1 m of Table costs 10.- Euro. Exchange is prefered. I am fair, if you are looking only for "exotic stuff "you will be disappointed. Dietmar
P.S.
For further questions donĀ“t hesitate to contact me.
Please excuse my bad english

I am really only looking for exotics, specifically Saturniidae so I will give that one a miss.

The Basel fair was large, I have been there two or three times when I was a child. I think the size has been similar to Frankfurt.
