Hi Thierry, data reads: Mbala, Zambia. 8 September 1971, J.C.Little. Citrinarius is the only thing I could find that resembles this, the only other species that came close was Pseudobunaea irius f. sjoestedi as pictured in Pinhey's book. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as your knowlege of African Saturniids is far better then mine. Dave

Thierry, click on the photo to enlarge it. Also there is a mm scalebar underneath so you can get exact size. Dave

Dave, I agree with Thierry. The image is a good match for the image of Pseudobunaea paratyrrhena supplied by Royal Museum for Central Africa on WLSS. That species is reported from Malawi, P R Congo and D R Congo. Bill Oehlke

I should have spelled the species name as parathyrrena.

I agree with you both now. All the pictures of parathyrrena I had seen before were of orange or pinkish specimens, but I see in your photo Bill and also a female of Thierry's on the BOLD site are yellow. Is the name 'flava' valid? I will amend the name accordingly, thanks guys. Bill, do you want ta copy of this photo? Dave
