What is a good adhesive for gluing plastazote to the bottom of a Cornell drawer?

Good question! I've tried a lot, and all fail sooner or later. Same is true for gluing plastazote into unit trays. I seem to have results as good as any with white "Elmer's" type glue.
Some say that the problem is glue failure caused by napthalene or PDCB fumes, but the glues fail eventually if neither is present, in my experience.
Good luck, jh

I used construction adhesive the one that is specify for styrofoam. It is very strong and I don’t think will lose it anytime soon.

Probably one of the formulations of "liquid nails" be certain of your placement. It's not called professional grade for nothing. Not that all "professional grade" items are used by professionals..often I get out in the field and find that underwater adhesive only works when it's dry and the surface is virtually sterile.

I've generally used ordinary "white glue" (polyvinyl acetate) anytime an adhesive is needed inside of specimen drawers / displays, out of fear of the possibility that adhesives containing solvent components might possibly off-gas volatile chemicals that might potentially damage / discolor specimens.

Rubber Cement (or glues of the same type). Have fixed this way plastozote in my 120 boxes, some of them years ago. Still holding solid and tight.

As most of you know, I make and sell drawers through my business, Leptraps LLC. I use a water base glue (Elmers) to secure the foam to the hard board bottom. I cut the Foam sheet slightly larger (Again. I use a fixture.) I apply the glued and let it set for 4 or 5 minuets and then insert the foam bottom. I have 14 Gauge stainless Steel sheet that is slightly smaller than smaller than the inside of the drawer.I then let the drawer sit for 24 hours. Should you order Entomology Drawer Kits from BioQuip, they will provide the glue to secure the foam sheet to the bottom of the drawer.
Once the foam bottom is in place, I set a stainless steel plate on top of the foam. I let the drawer with foam bottom and stainless steel plate sit 24 hours.
Many of you do not have access to the things I use. I am only writing this to help you and give ideas of how to do things.
Should you purchase drawer Kits from BioQuip with foam bottoms they provide the adhesive. (My BioQuip information is 10+ years old.) I would ask those questions should you ever order drawer kits from BioQuip.
There are a number of Company's/ Individuals making and selling Entomology Drawers in Canada. I understand it is cheaper to go up to Canada and pick them up than having them shipped to you.
