Today Nov 7 we have summer like weather in southern Ontario. 20°C in Toronto and I went to my favourite wasteland to see if I could still find some butterflies. To my surprise I found a pair of Colias philodice and male Colias eurytheme. There was no activity of any hibernators.
Next few days suppose to be unusually warm and then will have to wait till April to see some butterflies again.

Maybe it is time to start collecting Winter/Cold Weather Moths. I only checked the Bait Trap in my Back Yard today. I had three (3) species of Lithophane, a Metaxaglea, and two ,(2) species of Eupsilia, plus a number of common Erebidae and Zale moths.
The temperatures over the next four (4) days is for above average temperatures. Winter/Cold Weather Moths will fly.
