Help identify flying insect with long "tail"

Hey everyone,

I just came across this photo in my Snapchat memories from 1 year ago today so I can't say specifically where it was, but it was definitely in eastern Massachusetts. I wouldn't have batted an eye at it if it weren't for the long "tail". Any help identifying it would be great!

It's an Ichneumon, related to wasps. Do a google search and you'll find info.

Thanks.That's what I figured but I couldn't find any pictured that looked quite like the one I encountered. I've seen some pictures of the American Pelecinid Wasp that look similar to mine. Again, I know nothing about this subject so I'm just trying to get some insight/ information.
