Hello, some years ago i had see a backward stereoscope, a little different with respect to the normal forward stereoscope. Somebody know the differende between both?

Top one takes more space, possible to use external lighting, and is more accessible if working as a team of two.
The second is easier to adjust the specimen if working alone.

Many scopes allow you to have it either way. You can rotate the whole head unit with the eye pieces 180 degrees in the cradle so it faces the other way. This looks to be the case in the second AmScope shown because of the small knob in front above the ring light to hold the unit in place..
