I thought it would be interesting to see what species others have collected this year so far. I have gotten these all from Whitley county, Indiana. Amphion floridensis Sphecodina abbottii Manduca sexta Darapsa Myron Amorpha juglandis Diedamia inscriptum Paonias myops Paonias excaecata Smerithus jamaicensis Eumorpha pandorus Pachysphinx modesta Ceratomia amyntor Ceratomia undulosa
The only one I got last year and not this year is Darapsa choerilus.

you get occidentalis in Indiana?
Seems like a good sphinx year as I've gotten a bunch of species I've never gotten. I have 20 species plus some abbotti caterpillars I have to wait and see if they emerge.
Good species:
Darapsa versicolor Ceratomia amyntor Manduca jasmineorum Sphinx canadensis Hemaris gracilis Eumorpha pandorus
A few others I had not seen in a while like Deidamia and Smerinthus jamaicensis More fun to get them at your light.

Sorry, I meant P. modesta. Thanks for noticing that.
Nice list! I would love to get D. versicolor.

Well, I never did get a D. choerilus this year but I added a new species to my collection. I have never seen it here before but it is in absolute perfect condition! It is Hyles lineata. I realize it is often very common but as I mentioned it is the first I have seen and I was exited to get a perfect specimen and so late in the year. I found it at the blacklight on 2-Sep-2017, making it the latest in the year I have ever found a sphinx.
I am curious if anyone as far north as me finds them often? (I'm in Northern Indiana)
Tim
