I recently had a once in a lifetime capture of a gynandromorph polyphemus moth while collecting my buddy Eric Smith. The night was on the slow slide until thie moment when, what appeared to be a plain polyphemus came into the light and landed four feet from the spot where I got my C. marmorata last year. It is mounted under velum paper making a picture difficult at this time.
I have never seen a photo of a gynan. polyphemus. Does anyone out there have an image or a link to a pic of one?
I will post a pic as soon as I can......my heart is still pounding.

Wow, wow, wow, and holy cow!! Never would have believed it if I had not been there and seen it. I'm incredibly fortunate to have been there and see a moth of a lifetime. Way to go Bill!

WOW Bill! Nice catch, and in good shape too! Now you got me looking at every wild silkmoth in case I ever see a gynandromorph.
