Ever since Obamacare has been written into law there have been so many problems. Instead of costs going down for the consumer, premiums, deductibles, and individual pay has gone up dramatically! It seems that the insurance companies are just raping the middle class, and using the government mandate to do it. How is it countries with socialized medicine, such as Canada, UK, Germany, and others, are not having the same issues? From what I've read and heard the cost of health care is minimal, or they just take your share out of your pay, just like we pay in social security. I think now most people here in the US are just waiting for another president to come in and repeal obamacare.

Obamacare, not only did the average US citizen get screwed, the price of KY Jelly went through the Roof. There is not enough preparation H to cure the screwing we got at our own expense.
Congress should give up their pay for everything health insurance and go on Obamacare.
I could just F__t......

My annual rates whet down a quite a bit per year as soon as I quit subsidizing the rest of the country. I just looked an my personal costs are ~$150/year less than a few years back - my employers savings must be about twice that. FYI - I have really solid coverage (includes bells and whistles like emergency extraction from anywhere in the World for medical emergencies).
It's one thing to repeat what you hear on the campaign trail - and quite another to actually take a look at data you can get your hands on - like your own rates

My costs went up steadily faster than my pay until I lost my job and did not have to pay for it. I fortunately found work but healthcare went up - went way up. If it continues to go up, I won't be able to afford to work. That messes with my head.

Here in the US it seems that the more successful you are, the more you are "penalized" by taxes. We are so over-taxed it's not even funny! Just because I get up every morning and go to work to try and make something of myself means to some that I should have to share my money with a bunch of lazy individuals(who could work), and look for ways to get a free ride. Leroy was also correct in his statement about congress. The very same ones that wrote obamacare into law made damn sure they were exempted from the mandates..... That should tell you something!

This is a well known fact. I have seen/heard that this is true. Every individual who has been elected to serve in the Congress after 1973 is either. Millionaire when elected or becomes a millionaire after serving in Congress one year or less.
It can only be assumed as to how this is accomplished. If it is true, we have elected a "Den of Thieves".

US has far less taxes then other developed countries in the world. You should not complain but if you want better social and free care your government will charge you for that adding more taxes. I hate politics...

BTW successful people pay little or no tax. It is the working class that pays most...everywhere.

Okay, I have said this before and I will try it again:
Only in the US Congress can they spend several days debating changing the name of the Washington NFL Football teams name, the Red Skins. It is said to be offensive to native Americans.
It is very easy and simple. Change the name to the Washington Fore Skins. This name would be more representative to all the Dickheads we elect to congress.

Leroy - that might be one of the funniest things I've heard lately! Scary what their helmets might look like!!
Here are some of my "fixes" for Congress:
1. Before being eligible to run for the House or the Senate - a candidate must have served at least 4 years active-duty overseas in the military.
Reasoning? If one is going to vote to start wars and send men to fight, they should have been there themselves to know the gravity of the situation.
2. If, as an incumbent, you get voted out of office - you lose all federal benefits - health care, pension, etc.
Reasoning? Getting voted out of office is essentially getting fired from your job. In most other lines of work, if you get terminated, you lose all benefits - you don't get to keep them for life. If you win re-election until retirement age, then you keep them.
3. Term limits. This will eliminate anyone from retiring from office and getting lifetime benefits...
Just my two cents...
