Ok, I'll try this and your responses will determine whether it's worth it or whether I should can it. Just trying something new. Some drawers are aesthetic in nature while others will be more scientific in nature, I always enjoy seeing specimens from whomever.

Morphos are great, if they would just take up less space. I hope that more responses will follow to see more of your collection.

Hewi.....nice drawer.....love 'em. Bugboys3, the coloring represents four things. Red....nearly impossible to get or very costly or I'm lucky to have it Orange.....rare or fairly costly or very unusual Yellow.....unique somehow, or somewhat rare or special in some way. Blue at base of pin......has enough value that my wife should get some $ for it and not give it away unless she elects to. These are markings for me and my collection. If I should predecease her, I wanted some guidance for her. Also, some of what I have was "rarer" than now, but they were that when I got them. Lastly, I know the term rare is ambiguous at best. Does it mean rare in locale, availibilty, or on the market? Most of my purchased material may not be rare where it's naturally found, but it's surely rare in collections.....especially here in the USA. Oh, what the heck, I'll go ahead and jumpstart this with still another drawer....I can't resist.

Billgarthe, that is one breathtaking example of a Morpho cypris cyanites female ! She is spot-on ex-pupa perfect. I've only seen 2 others which had some slight color wear. I KNOW that princess must of set you back a football fields length.
Hewi, simply AWESOME drawer of some of Europe's finest Colias. Bravo.... Love your header labels. Will use your format I hope at some point.

Trehopr1, yes both the female cyprus females cost some, but ever since I was a kid (long ago) I've itched for that bug. The first morpho I got as a gift from my parents was M helena and ever since, the helena and cyprus have been in me. I still remember prying open the wings of a softened male and drooling over the blue sheen of the wings. It literally got my heart pumped up....I was SO afraid of doing damage, but my mentor Dad was there for me. Back than males of each cost $10.

Nice Drawers! I especially like the one with the leafwings. Fountainea nessus, Polygrapha tyrianthina female, Anaeomorpha splendida, great stuff!

Wow, it's a real treat to see all these specimens. Anaeomorpha splendida is a new species in my book, the iridescence must be truly hypnotic in person-a real siren of the forest! I wish I could go drawer for drawer with you, but there just simply aren't that many specimens in my collection-hopefully others will step up to the plate. Winter blahs suppressed for the time being

As a new member, I must admit, I'm blown away by the collections I've seen in this topic alone. It's really nice to see some kindred spirits. I've been collecting somewhat casually for 25 years or so, but just finally got finished with school and got a real job so I had the free time to get more serious about collecting. Unfortunately we moved near Boston, where the collecting season is pretty short. These two "drawers" are my temporary storage while I build some sturdy cases. This is about 18 months worth of specimens (the ones I've had time to pin) collected within ~2 miles of my house.

Hewi, those last two drawers are stunning. I have a few of the common Alcides and Urania, which are beautiful, but those are amazing!
Bill I think we all could look at your drawers of incredible stuff all day.
