have the right age and maturity to vote and understand History. Most of us were more "extremist" (to the left or to the right) when we were kids and then we grew up and understood than life is more complicated than we thought. How much of a voice is it when you are babbling and reciting bigoted religious opinions which they have put into you at a young age. You do not have an opinion, you are just like a talking puppet where somebody pushed the button.
Nobody said this except you, stop bringing him into the picture all the time, he is gone, gone for good.
Let us see how much of an opinion you really have. Give me one reasonable argument why marriage should only be between a man and a woman without recalling to any religiously affected morals. Marriage has nothing to do with church nor any other religion.
Judging your knowledge by your performance in a school is as naive as it can get.

We can "suggest" you to stop saying stupid things which you will regret when you will grow up.
jshuey < I am fully in line with all what you wrote, I think the world would be a happier place with more pragmatism and entrepreneurship in daily life !

How dare you, but this is really how it is, isn’t it? since I am a conservative I cannot voice my opinions. I made the choice to be a christian, but of course anyone else can express their opinions as long as they agree with you. I expected this from you, and will ignore you from here on out for these personal attacks against me. I think that now, I will spend less time on insectnet and more with working on my collection and with my friends.
I won’t start a debate with you guys since I have better things to do with my time and have no need for your approval or anymore stress in my life. I have insects to collect and mount, a collection to work on and many friends as well as a real life!!!
Btw, if you guys really knew Thanos well, you would know he is an ethical, moral, just and good person, but your jealousy of him made you hate and ban him...this is an injustice in my eyes.

I am Christian and rather conservative too on some subjects, I don't see your point. Franco is not "conservative", he is a dictator.
Then is it "ethical, moral, just and good " to post erotic pictures on insectnet, to insult the moderator and members of insectnet, to pretend to have permits when you have not, to make some racist insults, to be disrespectful with knowledgeable people ?... You can regret that he has been banned, personally I don't.

As you know, Europe has not always been democratic, and during the Spanish civil war, the communists opposing Franco killed people without mercy and for no reason. Communism is an evil ideology which we need to work against, and is a major cause of problems in the world. When he was ruling, he built up the infrastructure, especially in the north, and even though he did suppress certain criminals, he was a great ruler who got rid of the communist threat in Spain and built up the economy...you can say whatever you want, but you weren't there to know or understand this issue well enough to comment.

The Spanish civil war did not last 40 years my friend... if Franco had organized democratic elections, freedom of speech and so on after the civil war, I think he would have a far better reputation. But he organized a 40 year-long dictatorship and eliminated all his opponents including conservatives.
You know the Communist Party was the second party in France after WWII, De Gaulle did not kill them all to destroy them, he just democratically convinced people that those guys were dangerous... He could also decide to become a dictator and reign over France for 40 years... but he didn't because he was a democrat.

I never said that the civil war lasted for 40 years, I said it was in the 1930's-40's...and besides, France had been a democracy before De Gaulle....

As a conservative, I cannot have the right to voice my opinions and follow my religion? I now know what Thanos must have felt when you guys pushed him out for having a differing opinion, and as I see it, this is a complete injustice. Ban me if you want for disagreeing with you, but I will keep my views. Quintin So here's the deal. I doubt if anyone here really cares what you think. My point has been that you consistently share poorly formed complaints and ideas with us, and I and others find many of them to be offensive. The bottom line is that you have few insights about how I feel about most of these issues. I may agree with you, or I may not agree with you. I have very strong opinions about my religion, about (my and others) sexual orientation and even fascism. Ask me about monetary policy some time and I'll give you an earful (off line of course). In this forum I try and stick to entomology. And like I said I will never whine about stuff, especially if I do not have some constructive alternative to offer up on the issue. (Consider this post a constructive alternative intended to reduce offensive posts - not as a whine!) I'm sure that you can find somewhere more appropriate to voice your views about homosexuality, fascism and God. I'm sure that there is a Christian forum entitled "Blame Thine enemies" out there somewhere, as a counter point to the more traditional (although archaic) reading of "Accept Not, For Thyself, An Enemy For (if you do) You Will Then, Therefore Not Be Able To Love Thy Friends" (a.k.a.- "Love Thine Enemies"). Perhaps the Golden Rule could be expanded to "Offend not thine fellow InsectNet Forum members, such that they may verbally smite you". King James old English in not my strength, Shuey |

I didn't try to offend anyone and am surely not a facist as you accused me of being, I just said I was conservative and christian, that is ALL...Clark, if you are reading this, I don't mind if you ban me because I can predict what will happen next. These guys, just as they teamed up against Thanos (and I fully regret being a part of that), will surely team up against me and in the end, will pressure you to ban me. HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF.

I may have overreacted, but I just became quite angry when my view was shot down because it was different from yours...
About Franco, he built up the infrastructure, and though it was a much more conservative soceity than it is today, he was not corrupt like todays politicians, he led a very Spartan lifestyle while today's politicians steal from the middle class and have ruined our economy. He helped rid Spain of communism...enough said, I have to get to work.
