I just rec'd an interesting book ordered from a bookseller in England (through entitled "Jungle Bugs in the Night" by Bruce Purser. Most temperate collectors share a universal dream of sitting by a sheet & light happily collecting & photographing moths, beetles, etc. in exotic locations throughout the world. This fascinating book details just such activities that the author has carried on all over the tropical regions of the world. It shows sheet setups & every manner of insect that leaps, crawls or flies to the lure of light... moths, beetles, mantids, fulgorids, spiders, stick insects, cicadas, grasshoppers, etc. This 2007 book, 8.5"x 11.5"x .5", HC, has 168 pages with 297 color photos (by the author) of his adventures. Highly recommended... especially if you're sitting around, cabin bound, & surrounded by snow banks in the northern hemisphere! John K.
