I zap the collection with no pest strips, and cedar dust, and then I seal the sides with aluminum tape. Nothing gets inside the cases. Since mine are homemade, they aren't really that tight. Even the tightest ones are subject to some dermestid invasion, especially if the case is opened at some point. Also, I never smell moth balls when I tape the sides, because the cases are completely sealed. Just have to keep a watch for fungus every once in awhile during the summer months, and that can be treated very easily.
