Thank for all the help guys, I really appreciate it as this is all new to me, and a book only goes so far. I agree that they are C. limbalis. They were collected on a red clay bank too. Attached is what I believe to be C. purpurea audubonii. Sorry for the poor picture quality, new camera, now I have to start learning all over again. Tim Attachments:

My new camera records the GPS data with every picture and I get an idea of environment too.
I try to get a picture before I catch it, but if not after works too.

If these are Ichneumonid wasps, I read that they are a very large familly and difficult to identify. It would be nice to know what they parasitoid on. Thanks for any help. Tim Attachments:

I received my first order from the Paradox Company and was very happy with everything. There nets are very high quality, I don't know how I ever lived with out a sweep net like the one they sell! It's undistructable! I will order from them again. www.insectnet.eu/field_equipment.phpTim

Wow that is amazing. I loved the video. The nicest Buckeye I've ever seen.
I noticed they started in 2005 with a little blue in the forewing, that's a lot of work, 6 years!
Thanks for sharing. Tim

It's not all its cracked up to be, Clark. It's hard to stay in bed at night knowing that there may be some new and amazing Cat just out side waiting for me! You can add, C. praeclara female C. blandula male C. meskei female C. relicta male to the list.

C. praeclara Male C. ultronia Male C. briseis Pair C. meskei Male C. parta Pair C. unijuga Pair And what I think is a very light briseis male
All this in my back yard, with one bait trap and a 175W MV light.

Good news, it pupated! When should I expect it to eclose? Is it best to just leave it in the sleeve that it pupated in? Thanks again in advance for any help. Tim
