I think that we need a permit to collect in Argentina .... what about the countries around ? he doesn't know

I was in Panama 3 times and the last one was on January 2012 and i made the ascent of the Baru's mountain : i had bought in Boquete hot clothes because during the night it was cold and i had forgotten this detail ! .... you'll need good schoes too ! At the moment i didn't have permits , but no problems ! The hat , sure it's important , i didn't need repellant each time ,but maybe you'll need it I hope you'll have a good trip ... i enjoy this country

You're right ,Oxeoschistus is not common butterflies in collections I caught this one in Panama in January 2011 during the ascent of the volcano Baru (2200m)... i think a lizard try to catch it before me At the moment i wondered which species it could be (he looked like a papilionidae) ... I had to wait for a long time because he flew very hight So here , Oxeoschistus euriphyle

I never had any problem with him ... recently he sent to me that he can't send the items , i said "ok but return my money ..." ; no problem with paypal(under 45 days) , i have had my money ;-)..... Then , many of my specimen are not so perfect that i could imagine when i bought them on ebay or others .... ,but if you want the ideal specimen , i think you have to catch it after many failures ! ;-)))

I have noticed his prices have gone up significantly recently, as he still sends me his offers by e-mail. I have the feeling he's been looking at some of the retail websites and decided he can sell his specimens for that money too. When I used to buy from him, he was more expensive than the local sharks (most of whom would take your money and send rubbish or nothing at all) but not more than you might expect from a middleman. Adam. I'm totally agree with you ... his prices were not so expensive some years ago ...

Be careful , it's just the quadratus spoliatus species ... not quadratus quadratus

Yes really interesting The difficulty on a photo , is to make difference between the ssp. gundlachianus (gundlachianus or alayoi) unless if you have the good localities For panthonus and vercingetorix i'm septical about the most rarity .... but it's my own view
