My longtime search to acquire Protographium (Eurytides) philolaus xanticles dark form Female "scheba" from Panama is ongoing. A2/B condition OK. Any help/information is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

He's to be avoided, without question. A disgrace to the entomological community.

If you are the person who won the ebay auction last November, 2018 featuring Neographium philolaus xanticles, dark form Female philenora, I will triple your winning bid in order to purchase this specimen. It has been my Holy Grail for almost twenty years, and as I get older, the urgency to add it to my collection only becomes greater. Kindly contact Richard. Many thanks.

What's with the notation: "Only 1 left in stock - order fast" on almost all the listings?

Tony Nagypal has photos that clearly show Ornithoptera priamus impensus to be a different specimen. www.nagypal.net Richard Herwitt California

I had problems with him with a return of a damaged specimen. His manner is abrupt, his first response is denial. One bad experience with this shady character was more than enough for me. Buyer beware.

Everything you don't want in a supplier--this is Peter Jakubek. He wrote the book on dishonesty, treachery and a genuine contempt for the entomological community. Don't ever deal with this lowlife.

Thanks for clearing this up. Was unaware that Russia didn't participate in signing CITES 1 agreement.

Well said, ornithorchid. The issue here is reliability as a supplier, not ability to speak correct english. The writer of the post you refer to oftentimes makes gross spelling/grammar mistakes, and he speaks english! What's his excuse?

As far as I know, Ornithoptera alexandrae is still classified as CITES 1 and endangered. Why, then, does this ad appear today, 4 Feb, on the insect classified? Ad Number: 37193 Posting IP: 77.222.104.8 (Country: RU)

Jens Jakusch offered an outstanding Female on the InsectNet classifieds on 4 Feb., 2005. Not sure of the outcome. Its buyer, however, made a great purchase.

He has posted specimens on Ebay, recently, as I recall. I had a particularly bad transaction with him a few years ago. Nice specimens, yes, but I'd rather give my money and support to other more reputable suppliers.
