I have good experiences with vinegar (instead ammonia). It is acetic acid, it is cheap and you can buy it nearly everywhere!

I actually had a crystal form of Ammonia in the late 1990's. It was a quick killer. However, even though it was sealed in jars, I could catch a whiff of it in my car. There was something about the whole Ammonia this I just did not like.
What is your opinion John Hyatt?

For large moths, for me, it's 90% Isopropyl injected. Has worked great for me for a long time. I did notice a huge killing difference between the commonly seen 70% alcohol and the better, but slightly harder to find, 90% stuff. I never took to the cyanide or Ammonia. What I've done has worked well, so I don't feel the need to change. 90% will kill just fine. Nowadays, I use fewer envelopes and do more field pinning which makes mounting a breeze later on. Just my thoughts.......many collectors have many methods. I'd say try out a few and pick what you like best. Be careful with the cyanide though.

Thank you all for the tips, everyone. This sure is of great help. It is just one month before my trip, and it seems I will have all the supplies I need in Cambodia. I will keep all of your posts in mind, for me this is really going to be the first time collecting ever in my life. Regards!
