I'm looking for assistance IDing the moth (male and female image included) for some time. From the cupped, pectinate antennae and general shape it looks to me to be a Notodont or Lasiocampid, but I cannot match it up with anything. Size (wingspan) of females is about 45-55 mm, males slightly smaller. It occurs in abundance and both sexes come to light during a short emergence period in July each year. The location is on my ranch, situated in the Yellow Pine - Incense Cedar transition forest of East-Central Fresno County, central California, at the 4,500' elevation. Anyone familiar with this sp.?
