Nice.
Are they still on the wing? I might check my spot again tomorrow. I don't need any more as I got enough extras for my three buddies who want some. And....it's going to cool off a bit this week with rain.. Just curious.

Not sure, I may check it again since it will reach 78 degrees and sunny today.

Nice moths Bill! I missed a Litocala sp. over in an area called Washoe Lake just 25 minutes south of Reno. Was going to go collect this last weekend, but it was too windy. It rained on sunday and looks like it will be a cool first half of the week. Going to Santa Rosa, CA next weekend.

It's shaping up to be a good Anea year for me in the bottom of the state.

There is only one species of Litocala. Litocala Sexsignata. I collected several of them in a Bait Trap during a April of 2003 trip to Southern California. I saw several more on the wing but them little buggers can be evasive.
I was in McCreary County, Kentucky on 14 April along Hickory Knob Road. Psychomorpha epimenis where rather common as was just about everything else Ifound. Hesperia metea, Incisalia augustus, I. niphon, I. henrici, Mituoura gryneus, Celastrina ladon, C. nigra, Artogeia virginiensis, Falcapica midea and swallowtails galore.
I set out some bait traps and I will check them when I return to McCreary County tomorrow.

Sort of off topic. Are Alypia octomaculata day fliers also? I have read both. I collected a female at my light sheet last year. Diurnal too?

I occasionally take one in a light trap. They vast majority are taken with a net during the day.
I have a white Budlia in my front yard were I have collected a dozen or more in the lastly two years. I also get several Lycomorpha pholus every year. Not far from the Budlia, I have six large pots full of mint. Last year 2015, I collected 41 species of butterflies and moths from the mints and Budlia. My best catch last year was Parrhasius m-album, two males and a female.

Thank you, I think you have convinced me to get a butterfly bush. Just curious, how much does the slotted pan trap cost?
