After some time and use of Google translator I was able to sign, I was even able to register my credit card / for 2euro fee/. But unfortunately only small part of website is translated to english language. Anyway I should be able to bid in DrouotLive. Have not idea if web bidding is "real-time" or I must place my maximum, but I will see. But I would like to ask our french friends : "Lavente se fera expressément au comptant. Les acquéreurs paieront en sus des enchères par lot, et sans dégressivité les frais suivants: 23.92% TTC (dont 19,60% de TVA) ou 14,352% en cas de vente judiciaire." 1. I must count to pay additional 23,92% tax to winning price, right ? Or some other fees are aplicable ? 2. Anybody here with experience with Drouot Transport ? www.drouot-transport.com/ I do not understand if I should contact them before auction or only after auction in rare case I will win something many thanks in advance, Jan

Jan > be careful :
- there is a 24% tax to be added on the final price - if you cannot pick up your winning drawer, they will charge you for stocking it
Drouot is expensive

I bought some years ago some drawers at Drouot, Rieunier stored them a few weeks, I didn't have to pay anything for it ! But I don't think they'll post the boxes.... you have to pick them up in Paris Happy bidding David

I only managed to look thru photo's 21 thru 36 this evening and it appears that many of the birdwings have broken antennae. Who would want to throw away good money on such things? To me Ornithoptera are still rather pricey generally speaking without having to pay an additional auction "premium" for damaged goods. I do confess that when it comes to purchasing specimens for my collection I maintain rather strict standards on their condition.
