A couple more interesting & inexpensive books on famous American collectors readily available on the internet (Great for upcoming cold winter's nights for us "Northerners"!):
1.) "Brethren of the Net - American Entomology, 1840-1880" by W. Conner Sorensen, 1995, University of Alabama Press, 357 pgs, Hardcover, ISBN 0-8173-0755-9, Interesting entomologists/bios on all orders (including leps!), Recommended...
2.) "Butterfly People - An American Encounter with the Beauty of the World" by William Leach, 2013, 386 pgs, Hardcover, ISBN 978-0-375-42293-5, Fascinating bio's of American lep collectors & some famous European collectors as well - Very highly recommended... J.K.

Recently purchased a book from Noppon Ashi. The book was over $100.00 USD less than the price from Bio Quip and was received in a shorter amount of time than it takes Bio Quip to initially ship.

for those who like the Catocala and have been waiting for the Mona Fascicle and email form Larry Gall earlier this year.
"We are working on an end-game plan, which will incorporate a lot of new information that Hugo and Bob have been generating, with submission of a manuscript in November 2014, aiming for a projected late 2015 publication date."
I can hardly wait..

Hi Harry. I like your avatar of Catocala nebulosa. Last summer I found a "pocket" of them while out tree tapping. I think I collected around 30 or so, and saw at least that many more that I didn't collect. It is one of the top 5 of my favorite catocalas. Looking forward to seeing that publication. There is still so much to research regarding catocalas. For example, the hostplant of some well known species is yet unknown. Perhaps the Mona Fascicle will shed some new light on the matter.
