All my Asilids have been taken with my trusty 4'-15" net. Including Mallophora fulva, Laphria trux, Eccritosia zamon. Everytime I use a long clunker have limited results. Working on a few specialized tools currently. Main thing with 44 caliber flies is stalk or run fast. When you flush them give the fly time to land standing still and watch. Pocket net would work well but messing around in other countries seems sketchy. I'm going to make phone calls and do this a legal way.
