Thanks Adam Have to admit I'm not a big fan of taxonomy as such..I think it tends to detract somewhat from the beauty of the butterflies themselves...a necessary "evil" though.....

Dave, I understand what you mean, each to their own. I agree about the beauty, though - your maraho is fantastic. Of course what we are trying to do is eventually produce a stable classification with a set of names that won't change, sort of like Utopia or Nirvana, so that in the end people like you will all be using the same names for each butterfly.
