46 years collecting Agrias, Prepona, Anea etc, you'd probably be bored by now. lol. I hope to get over to south of France next year or 2017 for a couple of weeks so I might have to set a biat trap up and see what's about.
vabrou, where abouts do you live, do you get many Anea in your traps or arthemis arthemis, I would love some of these if you get any to spare. I no you wouldn't get both ( I don't believe ) arthemis arthemis is that far south.

Anaea andria Scudder (1875) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) in Louisiana, males on left, females on right. I only get Basilarchia arthemis astyanax (F.) and Basilarchia archippus watsoni dos Passos here.

Hi Bob, Here are some pics of a pair of O.Urillianus I set on the weekend soaking in Vodka (I leave most specimens in for 24 Hrs) I have been using this method for about 10 years with great results. As I said to Ash when I was talking to him, Try it on a spare or damaged specimen first and see what you think. It works well with beetles too. Lance. Would this method work on saturniidae?

Yes,Try injecting the Vodka into the thorax first and then putting in to your relaxer for 24 hours. Cheers Lance.

My first round of material spread from OK and NM. There is still much to mount.....likely in the winter.

How to you keep the glass pieces from sliding around? Are they heavy enough to stay?
Those are amazing specimens, and tons of them.

Very carefully. If I know I'm going to move them, I pin the outer edges of the slides to prevent slippage. The pic did not show this....maybe I should have done so. They are slides of varying thickness.....two to four thick glued together with a wood handle for ease in manipulation. The giant slides are regulat glass sheeting cut to fit and the edges have been sanded to a 45 degree angle so as to prevent or lessen digging into the wings at all. More details are at this link to my website. www.garthesinsectgradebook.20megsfree.com/photo2.html

Just took Catocala marmorata off the board and safely placed it in the drawer. Had a nebulosa on the same board too, but it paled to insignificance next to marmorata!
Cheers, jh
